The statement on the current geo-political development following the Mumbai attacks should serve as an eye-opener to all those who have any illusions about the aims of the US imperialists and their collaborators in south Asia. The moves by the US and India bourgeoisie again vindicates the stand taken by many people and articulated in the earlier statement of CC of CGPI that it is the US imperialist and Indian bourgeoisie that stand to gain from the terrorist attacks in Mumbai and it is most likely that they were behind it.

The lies and deceit of the US and its allies cannot be underestimated. It is sad that some communists in Parliament are following the line advanced by Indian government of blaming our neighbours for terrorist attacks, while it is well known that the real masterminds are the US imperialists and their agencies. Indian Communist must rally all people in this region to block US penetration and its diabolical aims. Given the precarious position that US finds itself economically it may very well convince Indian government to go ahead with the war, the preparations for which are at an advanced stage. This would serve the interest of the US imperialists and rulers of both India and Pakistan and would go against the people of this region.
