Protest action against price rise:

Delhi Government's last rites performed!

The Sanjay Colony Samiti of Lok Raj Sangathan organised a rally against the price rise and gave a call to the people to unite to bury this government, which has been responsible for the back-breaking prices. Members of the Communist Ghadar Party of India, of Purogami Mahila Sangathan, of Hind Naujavan Ekta Sabha, of the All-India Council of Lok Raj Sangathan and local members of Lok Raj Sangathan participated in large numbers in this rally.

Ram Aktiyar and Vijay Roy led the rally, which halted at B and A blocks of Sanjay Colony, then at JJ Camp (Durga Mandir), JJ Camp (Rajiv) and wound its way through Manav Kalyan Vihar, Indira Vihar before reaching Okhla Phase 1.

The main attraction of the rally was the corpse of Delhi government. As the rally passed through the various colonies, the residents greeted the corpse with chappals!

The colonies reverberated with slogans: "Halt the price rise!", "Give us back our ration cards!", "Food security is our fundamental right!", "Down with Congress government!", "Sheila, when will we get our ration cards in your regime?", "Long live Lok Raj Sangathan!", "We are Hindustan, we are her masters, workers peasants women and youth!" and "Inquilab Zindabad!" The demonstrators carried these slogans on placards.

In the end, two public meetings were organised at Indira Kalyan Vihar to welcome the demonstrators. Leaders of the participating organisations addressed the people at various locations during the course of the rally.

At its conclusion, the corpse of Delhi government was dumped in the drain at Indira Kalyan Vihar.

The statement brought out by Sanjay Colony Samiti of Lok Raj Sangathan, which was distributed during the rally, is being reproduced.
