A Spectacular Programme by the Lok Raj Samiti in the Madanpur Khader Resettlement Colony

The newly formed Lok Raj Samiti of Madanpur Khader resettlement colony organized a sports competition and a political-cultural evening for its youth, on 26th January 2008 to establish its work and presence in the colony.

Despite the chilling cold, around 400 people participated in the political-cultural evening.

The Secretary of the Lok Raj Samiti Mr. Kans Biswas, Convener Mr. Ratan Biswas and Mr. Sandula Rehman explained to the youth and people present that if they wished to rid their colony of problems and bring about a bright future, they would have to build and strengthen their Lok Raj Samiti to serve as a tool to achieve people’s power. Among those present at the event were: the Communist Ghadar Party’s representative, Delhi Secretary of the Lok Raj Sangathan, Secretary of the Thane and Mumbai Parishads, Secretary of the Jan Pratinidhi Manch and activists of the Hind Naujavan Ekta Sabha.

The programme saw the complete support of the local people. This was evident from the encouragement given to children by their parents to participate in the games and cultural programmes. The children and youth presented beautiful song and dance numbers, based on folk art forms. The Rang Bhoomi Natya Samooh also enacted a play in the event.

Members of the Lok Raj Samiti, Vikas Mandal, Vishvanath Bhadra, Bhaskar Ganguli, Ratan Gooldar, Sudhir Chakravarti, Rustam, Mohmmad Sharif (Montu Khan), Shri Ram Pyare, Sanjay Kumar, Khalid, C. R Mandali, Jay Singh, Jugal, Chunni Babu, Monu, and others worked hard day and night to make this event a success.
