I hail the work of HNES
Sir,
I am writing to thank you for your report on the convenetion in defence of communism organized by the Hind Naujawan Ekta Sabha (HNES) in Delhi on July 23, 2006 in the August 1-15 issue of PV. This convention has been held at a time when the bourgeoisie is on a vicious offensive against any kind of progressive thought, with its own monopoly media continuously singing the praises of the path of privatization and liberalization. This latter has already entered the phase of acute monopolization with the participation of the biggest industrial houses namely Reliance and Tatas and some others gobbling up larger and larger share of what is going on under the name of privatization. Therefore it is extremely important at this time for the conscious section of the working class to educate itself and arm itself with the best available theoretical tools to sharpen the class struggle. It is indeed very appropriate that this convention should have been held under the aegis of the HNES, for it is the youth that must spearhead the coming struggles. The world and the future are after all theirs. They must put forward their alternative vision of the world as being one in which a better system is indeed possible. That the HNES has declared that the 'alternative is to build Communism on India soil' is a source of great hope and joy for this reader.
